Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions form a binding agreement between you and Clarity Box™. By creating an account, accessing the website, or using any part of the framework, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted them.

1. Definitions

"Clarity Box™", "we", "us" and "our" mean the owner and operator of the Clarity Box™ website and application, including The Two Box Method™ framework. "You" and "your" mean the individual using the service. "Service" means the website, the application, the guided journal, the Reflection Coach, the Triangle of Separation, Scars into Stars, the Two Box Mirror, downloadable materials and all related content and features. "Content" means anything you write, record, upload or generate through the Service.

2. Acceptance and changes to these terms

You accept these terms when you tick the consent box at sign up or onboarding, or when you continue using the Service. We may update these terms to reflect changes to the Service, the law, or our practices. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email where we hold your address, and the updated date at the foot of this page will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and delete your account.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum digital consent age in your country if that is higher, and legally able to enter into a contract. The Service is not designed for children. If you are aged 16 or 17, we recommend that a trusted adult knows you are using it. We may suspend any account where eligibility cannot reasonably be assumed.

4. Nature of the Service, no professional relationship

Clarity Box™ is an educational guided self reflection framework. It is not therapy, counselling, psychology, psychiatry, medical treatment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, legal advice, financial advice, coaching, social work or mediation. Using the Service does not create a therapeutic, clinical, legal, fiduciary or other professional relationship between you and us. No outcome is promised or guaranteed. You remain responsible for your own decisions and actions.

5. Emergencies and safety

The Service is not monitored in real time and cannot help in an emergency. If you are in crisis, thinking about harming yourself or another person, or need urgent help, contact your local emergency number or a recognised crisis line immediately. Do not rely on Clarity Box™, the Reflection Coach, or any automated response for urgent support.

6. Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your sign in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. Do not share, sell or transfer your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, that are used unlawfully, or that create risk for other people.

7. Your content and the licence you give us

You keep ownership of everything you write in Clarity Box™. To run the Service we need a limited, worldwide, royalty free licence to store, process, transmit and display your Content back to you, and to send the necessary parts of it to the AI providers that power features you choose to use. This licence exists only so the Service can function for you, ends when you delete the Content or your account, and never allows us to publish, sell or use your reflections for advertising.

8. Artificial intelligence features

Some features use AI models to organise reflections, generate prompts, summarise your answers or produce reports. AI output is generated automatically, may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation, and must never be treated as fact, diagnosis, professional opinion or personalised advice. Always apply your own judgment and, where relevant, consult a qualified professional. You must not use AI features to generate unlawful, abusive or harmful material.

9. Two Box Mirror and shared sessions

Features that involve another person, including the Two Box Mirror, only reveal structural comparisons after both people have completed their reflection and given explicit approval. You are responsible for who you invite. Do not invite anyone who has asked not to be contacted, and do not use the feature to pressure, monitor, coerce or harass another person. We may disable shared features for accounts that misuse them.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or for an unlawful purpose; copy, reproduce, translate, adapt, resell, sublicense or commercialise the framework or any part of the Service; scrape, crawl, mine or bulk extract content; use the Service or its outputs to train, fine tune or evaluate any machine learning model; reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to access source code; interfere with, overload or probe our systems; bypass paywalls, rate limits or security controls; impersonate any person; upload malware; or submit another person's private information without a lawful basis.

11. Subscriptions, billing and renewals

Some features require a paid plan. Prices are shown before purchase and are inclusive of applicable taxes where required. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record and processes your card details; we never receive or store full card numbers. Plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then current price unless you cancel before renewal. You can cancel at any time from your billing page, and access continues until the end of the period already paid for. We may change prices with notice, effective from your next renewal.

12. Refunds and statutory rights

Our Refund Policy forms part of these terms. If you are a consumer in the UK, EU or another jurisdiction granting a statutory cancellation right, you may have a right to cancel a purchase within the applicable cooling off period. Where you ask us to start providing digital services immediately, that right may end once provision has begun, to the extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Free trials, credits and fair use

Where a trial, free tier or credit allowance is offered, it is personal to you, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and may be limited, changed or withdrawn. Usage that is automated, abusive or far outside normal individual use may be rate limited or suspended.

14. Intellectual property

Clarity Box™, The Two Box Method™, the Heavy Box and Growth Box concepts, the Five Pillars, the Triangle of Separation, Scars into Stars, the Two Box Mirror, the reflection structure, the questions, terminology, written explanations, graphics, downloadable workbooks and all website content are original intellectual property protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. Personal, non commercial use is permitted. Commercial use, redistribution, incorporation into other products, courses, applications or AI systems is prohibited without prior written permission.

15. Third party services

The Service relies on third parties for hosting, authentication, payments, email and AI processing. Their availability and their own terms affect the Service, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions beyond our reasonable control. Links to external sites are provided for convenience only and are not endorsements.

16. Availability, changes and suspension

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features, with notice where reasonably possible. Planned maintenance and urgent security work may cause downtime.

17. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non infringement. We make no scientific or clinical claims. Any benefits described reflect individual experience and are not guaranteed outcomes.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, nor for loss of profit, data, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty pounds sterling. Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of another person's rights.

20. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Manage Account. Deletion permanently removes your reflections and sign in details and cannot be undone. We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these terms, where required by law, or where continued provision creates legal or safety risk. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law, continue to apply.

21. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the laws of the province in which the owner of Clarity Box™ is resident, and the Canadian courts have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence. 22. General

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them as part of a reorganisation or sale of the business. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy and the Legal and Ownership notice, form the entire agreement between us.
